Tammy, I got the job finished and I must say, I'm BLOWN away by Tape-Seal. It works better than described and can make any job look professional. It was very easy to use, as I feather Tape-Seal both up and down on the tape before applying the paint for the stripes on the wall. At first, I was letting the paint get fairly dry before removing the tape and the lines were perfect....no bleeding of paint under the tape. As the job went on, I got more aggressive and did not wait for the paint to dry...same results...perfect. This product must be the best kept secret in the paint industry and should be on every home improvement retailer's shelf. We tried the product today. Our overall Impression is that this is a fantastic product! Thressa and I have painted the complete interiors of 3 different houses over that last 9 years and the one consistent problem we have faced is the "bleeding" through painters masking tape. No matter how cautious we were, clean lines between different colors seemed an impossibility. We even upgraded from 3-M's regular blue tape to the new green "Frog Tape" which advertises no bleed lines. The only change was that we spent more money for the privilege of using another product that did not work.
Quite by accident we stumbled upon your product on line while searching yet again for a solution to our painting woes. When we saw Tape Seal we decided that we might as well give it a go and are we glad we did. The transition line between different colors was crisp and clear with no bleed. Wow! What a difference, This is a must have product for anyone painting around doors, windows, and baseboards not to mention multi colored rooms, accent walls, and graphics. Tammy - I am painting the exterior of the houseboat - a "primitive Americana" theme - the boat is becoming a light tan color and I'm doing a lot of navy and burgandy striping and stars. I've been excited all spring about painting it and then when I started the stripes and they bled, I was spending hours with a little tole painting brush trying to straighten my lines and what a frustrating disappointment! So when I came home I immediately got on the web and started searching and was SO happy to find your product and I ordered it on Wed. and had it by Friday, which also made me very happy! Last Wednesday and Thursday I painted quite a few stripes and taped off and painted two big stars and it was such a thrill to pull my tape off to straight lines! I raved about it all weekend to everyone. I'll be glad to take pictures when I'm through. I wish I had taken pictures of the "before" stripes for you too before I fixed them. I was able to fix the last of the feathered ones by taping over my stripes and using tape seal and then just painting the tan over it all and that did the trick. I was SOOO happy! I will spread the word around here for sure. I showed it to a good friend who is probably the most popular house builder in our area yesterday and he was impressed too. Hi, I ordered Tape-Seal a couple of weeks ago. I just wanted to let you know something you already know - your product is great and it really works; it's the first thing I have used that really results in straight paint lines on textured walls. I have "knock-down" texture on my walls with rounded corners. I have been looking and trying a number of ways to paint a really straight line. Nothing worked! Tape-Seal solves the problem and allows me to paint some walls that I didn't think I would be able to paint. Thanks! Thanks again for your great product. Jan M., Nebraska
Hey, Tammy. I haven’t forgot about you. Once we were deep into the painting project, I didn’t have time to do much else. We have one more room to go these next couple of weekends. Anyway, the product works great and just as you had explained. It’s incredible on walls, so we’ll look for ways to use it to do lines and multiple colors. A neighbor is doing 3 colors in her kid’s room and was impressed with the way it works, so I’ll let you know how theirs goes, too.
